Homework
Here’s how you can help: please make sure your student has a quiet, uncluttered place to complete their homework. Also, students are expected to work on their own, only asking for help after they’ve given their best effort. Homework must be completed on time, neat, and made up when a student is absent. If your student has problems completing their homework, please let me know and I can adjust the workload accordingly. Please make sure you sign this every night and ask your child about what they are reading.
Any unfinished homework or class work will be finished at recess or lunch on a bench, or taken home for extra homework. Time will be allowed for these students to use the restroom and take a short break at the end of recess.

3 - near grade level, has an understanding of the topic, but still makes some errors
4 - at grade level, has a full understanding of the topic

Thursday Folder
Each Thursday your child will bring home a blue home/school folder. In this folder you will find important notices, office memos, completed and/or graded school work, and public bulletins. Please remove and read all the papers, go over your child’s work with her/him, and send it back to school with your child on Friday.
