Digital Citizenship
Technology is a more important part of the classroom every year! Students are learning how to do research, create multimedia presentations and supplement instruction in core subjects using a variety of apps and devices.
- Make sure to return your acceptable use of technology contract and talk with your kids about safe online behavior!

Homework
Our district’s homework policy for fourth grade students recommends homework every night Monday through Thursday. Homework is important! It is an extension of the learning that takes place in the classroom and solidifies skills.
I make an effort never to send homework on skills where students are shakey or still in the beginning stages. I rarely send home Math homework unless it’s review material. My philosophy is that homework should be used to help students retain information they’ve already mastered in class, not to learn new material.
Homework usually consists of a reading log and spelling.

p.e.
Fifth graders have P.E. twice times a week taught by specialists. Please be sure to have your child wear appropriate clothing and footwear on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Also, make sure they bring a water bottle so they can stay hydrated on the playground and in class!
